ZenduOne rule

Setting up Rules in ZenduOne

You can set up certain rules that will trigger the camera to record/upload a video when the rule is broken.

      1. Head to the Admin tab and select the rules tab and click on "add new rule"

      2. Give your rule a name and select which groups(vehicles) it will govern.

Conditions Tab

The conditions tab is where you select how the rule will trigger.
      1. First, you need to select a rule source, then the rule type.
      2. General has your basic rules(speeding, idling, ETC.)
      3. Camera has rules connected to the camera itself(you'll need to select smartwitness or SS, depending on which camera model you have.
      4. Lastly, Geotab. If you have a Geotab unit installed in the truck along with the camera, you can link the two together. This allows you to use any rule you have set up in your MyGeotab database.

Action Tab

The actions tab dictates what will happen when the rule is triggered.
  1. Save Video to Cloud: Tells the camera to record footage of the event and upload it to the cloud.
  2. Save Snapshots: Records snapshots of the event instead of video. You cannot have both video and snapshots enabled at the same time
  3. Send Event Notification: Sends an email out when the event is triggered. enter the message of the email, how long after the event is triggered the notification goes out, and the user/email it will be sent to

Video isn't enabled by default, you will need to enable it for each rule you want to record footage for
